Joint Venture Radio are planning a Portion Conrol + related projects radio special (3 hrs) for Joint Venture Radio Bremen - Retrosonic Radio on 26th November. MINIMAL WAVE // VA - THE LOST TAPES

The NY-based Minimal Wave label has just put out The Lost Tapes compilation; a very limited, vinyl-only pressing which collects rare tracks from the early-to-mid-'80s. DEAD AIR // BY MORDANT MUSIC

Mordant Music - Baron Mordant (ex-Portion Control member Ian Hicks) and Admiral Greyscale - release the debut album "Dead Air" in a stunning multi-foldout 'tear' shaped sleeve.

This 20 track album mixes industrial and cadaverous electronica, like a lost episode of Dr. Who., into one long, dark transmission. The album also features the opulent tones and pathos of former cult Thames Television announcer Philip Elsmore. NEW PORTION CONTROL WEBSITE

New Portion Control website launched today. Archive the highly anticipated CD collection of original Portion Control vinyl is in production and will feature 5 CDs in a high visibility box. Each CD has a unique cover featuring pseudo random blended layers formed from the original artwork. This will make available, for the first time, all the original vinyl in a digital format.

The material has been organised across 5 discs:

• code001 - i staggered mentally, hit the pulse.
• code002 - step forward, psycho bod saves the world.
• code003 - purge, simulate sensual.
• code004 - surface and be seen, raise the pulse, rough justice, go talk, the great divide.

A bonus CD will be included with the first pressing: code005 - high quality mp3 versions of codes 1-4 and a collection of 135 images from 1980-1990 & 2003-2006 lastly exclusive to archive - wav file of Rhys Fulber 'Refugee rebuild'.

The material is mastered from the original vinyl to maintain the sonic quality of the original material. The release date is still not confirmed.
